Bromley Evening Decorative & Fine Arts Society

Welcome to the home page of Bromley Evening Decorative and Fine Arts Society (BEDFAS)!

WHO ARE WE?

We are a society of 200 plus men and women who are interested and involved in the world of the Fine Arts.

Every month from October to June we have illustrated talks given by expert lecturers on a wide variety of topics like painting, sculpture, furniture, porcelain, jewellery.

We enjoy social events, outings and tours in this country and abroad which are stimulating and fun.  Our work for Young Arts is an important part of our society

We have the reputation of being a friendly group - you are welcome to come and find out for yourself!

WHAT IS NADFAS?

We are one of three local societies affiliated to NADFAS (National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies) which is a leading arts charity whose aims include :

  • Opening the world of the arts through lectures
  • Encouraging arts projects for young people in schools (Young Arts)
  • Helping to preserve our heritage through voluntary work (with training if appropriate) in churches, museums, stately homes, archives, etc.

 GLA NADFAS

We are part of the Greater London Area of NADFAS, and you can find useful, up-to-date details of events in the London Area by clicking on www.gla.nadfas.net

Monday, 5 December is our last meeting in 2016.  To celebrate the season from 6.45pm  we shall be serving drinks and mince pies before the start of the lecture entitled 'Les Parisiennes; How the Women of Paris Lived, Loved and Died in the 1940's'

To maintain a high standard our committee is required to vote on each lecture/lecturer and the slides. We urge you to help us by clicking on the button 'FEEDBACK' on the left of this page and marking one relevant question in each of the two boxes which come up. Your response is completely anonymous.

Don't forget to click on the last line to submit your vote!

Photographs from our recent short tour to Shropshire are now to be seen under Gallery.  In addition if you go to About Us/Documents you can read a short account of our activities by one of the participants
