Young Arts Projects for 2016
Friday 26 February 2016

'FLIGHT' is the title for this year's 3-day sculpture project which is led by Maggie Higginson, an experienced teacher of sculpture.

Three workshop days took place earlier in February, and the boys worked extremely hard making contributions to the subject.

The Open Evening for the FLIGHT project was on Friday, 26th February 2016, between 4pm and 6pm at Ravenswood School, Oakley Road, Bromley BR2 8HP.

Teachers and students really appreciate a show of interest by the presence of as many members of BEDFAS who are able to come

The Alhambra tile style project took place at Castlecombe Primary, Castlecombe Road, SE9 4AT at the end of February and beginning of March.

The finished tiles have been fixed to the outer wall of the school and will be unveiled on Friday, 8 July at 11am. Bedfas members are invited to attend the ceremony with other guests

Our Young Arts Representative is Sue North (pictured)

Sue has an educational background and works on behalf of BEDFAS to develop art projects in the local community. To date BEDFAS, together with extra funding from NADFAS, has provided workshops in local secondary and primary schools, covering a wide range of topics. The current projects in 2016 involve a sculpture project on 'FLIGHT' and an Alhambra-style wall tile panel designed for an exterior wall.
